The Centrox-CR™ Key to Variety of Global Industrial and Medical Applications ~

Buffalo, NY (May 6, 2025) – AirSep Corporation, a division of CAIRE Inc., is pleased to announce the launch of a new oxygen cylinder refilling station — the Centrox-CR™ — for medical and industrial applications.

This versatile and efficient system harnesses the power of the tried-and-true Centrox self-contained oxygen generator paired with a premium oxygen booster to enable it to fill high-pressure cylinders for medical and industrial applications. AirSep® will sell two versions of Centrox-CR systems: an industrial generator and a medical 510(k) cleared concentrator.

“At AirSep, we have been making cylinder filling plants for decades, installing more than 5,000 systems worldwide. Today, we are bringing a unique package to the market in the Centrox-CR. Relying on cylinder deliveries can be stressful and costly. The Centrox-CR allows our customers to stay in control. With compact and mobile units, they can fill a K-size (249 cubic feet) high-pressure cylinder in 11 hours. Our FDA 510(k) clearance makes this perfect for emergency services such as fire stations, ambulance depots, and even urgent care facilities. Of course, our industrial customers can use this for their cylinder needs too,” said Mario Bolivar, AirSep Vice President of Global Sales, Onsite Generation.

This product utilizes the Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology within the Centrox to generate oxygen, which is then boosted to over 2000 psi. To improve the filling time, the system employs a vacuum pump to empty the high-pressure cylinders before refilling.

The Centrox-CR offers purity up to 93 percent (93% +/- 3%) and meets the U.S. and European Pharmacopeia Oxygen 93 Percent monograph. Also, AirSep is CAGE/NCAGE Registered.

This simple yet robust product requires minimal maintenance. The air compressors and oxygen compressor are oil-free. The Centrox-CR can operate in auto or manual modes to suit each customer’s specific needs.

The Centrox-CR is easy to install and operate and offers the ultimate flexibility of a system that arrives fully assembled with a turnkey design from AirSep’s facility in Buffalo, NY. To get started, customers only need single-phase power.

The Centrox-CR’s long-term benefits include eliminating hidden costs like cylinder rentals and delivery charges. The system only consumes 2.0kW of power, and its minimal power requirements contribute to reduced energy consumption, supporting eco-friendly and cost-effective operations.

AirSep provides a 1-year warranty on workmanship for all Centrox-CR units.
